About The Project
Morfyus League was founded with one mission: to build a decentralised workforce that starts through play-to-earn (P2E) games. Morfyus League was bred like many other P2E gaming guilds during the pandemic, when Covid 19 disrupted the lives of many, crippled economies and further displaced those in developing nations from accessing economic opportunities.
With that, the guild has grown beyond a thousand scholars within a short span of six months. The team was into their seed funding round and a robust identity that could scale and support its ambition for "bridging the metaverse".
I was brought on to the team to create an identity that reflected the identity of "Morfyus"; largely inspired by Morpheus from the Matrix. Morfyus League acts as the gatekeeper between the centralised world and the decentralised metaverse and this happens within the "glitch".
The entire process included refining their message to appeal to gamers/scholars, aligning shapes & imagery to represent the "glitch", refactoring the typographic illustrations, and lastly translating it on a new site.
